Goals for 2025

Happy New Year to all. Thanks to some generous funding, this website has been born! you may have noticed some pages have incomplete links, or don’t completely make sense. This is because we’re still working to finish this site. it is currently run by a single person. however, feedback is still welcome! the contact page is fully operational, and messages there are sent straight to haydenloreart@gmail.com. This is the email of Hayden Parker, founder and staff of this organization. if you would like to get involved in any capacity, including donations, this is the person to contact.

Now, onto goal setting! our organization is very young, and still has a way to go before it has a solid foundation to best fulfill its purpose. Thus, in order to ensure open communication and keep donors, participants, and the public up to date on the progress of untypical arts’ growth, these newsletters will be a monthly publication. in each of these monthly newsletters, readers will be told how funding is being spent, what actions have been taken, and what areas need action, brainstorming, or additional help.

One of our overarching goals is finding artists interested in being a part of the untypical arts artist community. we want to support and spotlight the talent of artists with disabilities and neurodiverse artists- that’s our mission! if you identify with having a disability or being neurodivergent, you qualify! We’d love to showcase your art, whatever your artform is, on this website as well as our facebook page and other future social media pages. there is no fee, but donations are always welcome. we’d love to get a physical location to be a hub for artists to display and sell their work. in the mean time, we’re focusing on artist portfolios being displayed on this site. so if you’re interested, please contact us so we can put you up under our ‘artists’ section.

if you are not an artist and are interested in helping us get established, there are many ways you can help! we need board members for the organization to make important decisions- from how finances are used, event planning, making and amending bylaws, ensuring ethics are followed, and obtaining sponsorships. we also need a social media specialist who can help us have a presence on many different platforms.

some short term goals we have for this year include the following:

-finish website setup

-find the best financial institution to start an account for donations to untypical arts

-receive legal and business advice to ensure organization is on track to have a physical location and 501c(3) tax-exempt status thru the i.r.s.

-seek out sponsorships and donations to fund fees involved with paperwork, accounting, advisory, and all the costs associated with opening a physical gallery

-connect the public with artists by building artist profiles, increasing visibility to their works, and providing contact information to support artists directly

thank you for supporting untypical arts.
