An art gallery with a purpose

Untypical arts’ primary purpose is to act as the center for artists with disabilities and neurodiverse artists. we want to provide a place for artists who identify with these categories to showcase their talents, learn new skills, build their personal brand, and grow as artists. we know it can be difficult to market oneself, make connections with people, and network in a competitive world. we want you and your art here, and we want to have a diverse and inclusive gallery and community.

we strive to be a place where the general public can come connect to and better understand their neighbors, friends, and family who live with minds and bodies that may work differently from their own. we want to build a library of information and resources that can benefit anyone, from mental health services, healthcare, social assistance, education on disabilities and neurodiversity, and more. and, of course, be a place where anyone can come enjoy wonderful and unique works of art.

We are a volunteer group with plans to become a full 501c3 nonprofit in the future. Through your support and funding, we will be able to bring the community together by having art showcase nights where the public can appreciate and purchase art from these amazing individuals, and exclusive events for the artists to celebrate their art with their close friends and family in a more intimate setting ahead of public events.

We are always looking for volunteers and artists who would like to be a part of our community.

We also currently have several board member positions open.
